1. Natural Leather

Natural leather is a gorgeous full-grain leather made from cowhide. This leather is vegetable tanned giving it a natural and earthy feel. Our collection has four different finishes (see below).
*Full-grain means the original surface of the hide is used.
*Vegetable tanning is the oldest and most traditional art form of turning hides into supple leathers. By using vegetable tannins instead of chemicals, this leather is all-natural.
"Natural"
No oil is used in this finishing process, giving these Elbamatt straps a classic, rustic look.

2. Basketball
🇺🇸 Tanned in USA
Basketball leather is a specialty full-grain leather made from cowhide. This leather, made by the Horween Leather Company in Chicago, has been used for over 70 years for footballs and basketballs. It is combination tanned then embossed with an iconic pattern made for gripping.
3. Wild Boar
🇮🇹 Tanned in Italy
This is a full-grain leather made from wild boar. The leather has been combination tanned and dyed through to create such rich colors. The grain on this leather is beautifully visible.
4. Textured Calfskin
🇮🇹 Tanned in Italy
This calfskin leather is embossed to mimic wild deerskin. This leather is combination tanned, dyed through, then printed to achieve a gorgeous look and textured feel.
5. Lambskin
🇮🇹 Tanned in Italy
This is a soft full-grain leather made from lambskin. This leather is sustainably processed using the traditional vegetable tanning method (which means it's all-natural and biodegradable). It has been pigmented to achieve solid, rich colors.
6. Pebbled Calfskin
🇮🇹 Tanned in Italy
Pebbled leather is a glossy split-grain leather made from calfskin. It is chrome tanned and then embossed with a pebbled pattern.
*Split grain is the underside of the hide, known for its softness and smoothness.
*Chrome tanning is a faster tanning method than vegetable tanning and creates a lighter material.
7. Padded Calfskin
🇮🇹 Tanned in Italy
Padded calfskin is a corrected-grain leather. The leather has been chrome tanned and dyed through to create its vibrant colors.
*Corrected-grain is the top layer of the hide that has been buffed to remove any imperfections.
8. Suede
🇮🇹 Tanned in Italy
Suede is a soft split-grain leather made from calfskin. This leather is combination tanned and dyed through to achieve a gorgeous look and textured feel.
*Split grain is the underside of the hide, known for its softness and smoothness.
9. Shell Cordovan®
🇺🇸 Tanned in USA
Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan® is a famous full-grain leather made from horsehide. This leather is sustainably processed using the traditional vegetable tanning method at the renowned Horween Leather Company in Chicago. The leather is hand dyed and glazed to give it that iconic glossy look. This leather takes over six months to make; it's the finest leather in our collection.
